| If you can stand the very slow service try La Tratorria Restaurant in Vias Plage. The food is brilliant. Well worth the wait. Enjoy the view on the marina at Cap d'Agde. Alan recommends:- For somewhere different to eat, try the Golf restaurant which is right on the beach near Luna Park at Cap d'Agde. |
le Beach - as recommended by Bill & Jill We have just discovered a little gem ~ about 7 mins away from the carabasse that we must share with all owners. As ever, it's a restaurant come bar with the enticing name of, le Beach ~ alongside Camping Californie. It is owned by Rachel (formally Nottingham and used to work at the Orange Bar) and her super partner, Gaby. The prices are rather good ~ 2euro for a Kia and 1euro for coffee. | No more description of the place ~ just tell everyone to explore for themselves. Camping Californie, as you recall, is left past the Tourist Info office, head past Europark (on the right), sharp left at the bridge (over the Luberon) keep following signs to Camping Californie. Go past the camp, 50 metres or so and look for sign (on the left) Californie Beach. Be sure to mention that you come from la Carabasse. - Love, hugs and kisses x x x x x |

 | | le Petit Jardin At Easter we visited in St. Guilhem-le-desert for a meal and was greeted with being their first customers of the season. The tradition was, we were treated to free food and wasnt it superb. They gladly gave us extra portions as well. I highly recommend the restaurant anyway. | | For cheap quaffable wine try the co-operative opposite Leader Price. Local growers contibute to produce a very palatable Red White or Merlot. Just remember to take something to put it in! They use anything in litre volumes. Also, for a good cheap day out, a visit to Carcassonne is great. The old walled town costs only the car park fee! The sign in the car park is good for a laugh as well! Visit the chocolate/biscuit shop for a special treat. Takeaway panini's won't break the bank either. |

own choice is the beautiful Chateau de Bois Rabot, just south of
Orleans, between the small town of Lamotte Beuvron (Loir et Cher) and the village of Pierrefitte sur Suldre. You can enjoy a breakfast but not evening meals... locally is a grill and a great pizzeria. |
